One of the most important things about edcamps is that there are NO VENDORS trying to sell you everything under the sun. Yet, the conference is free for attendees, so where do the food and prizes come from??
Instead, edcamps are sponsored by companies that donate so that we can provide food in the form of a light breakfast and then lunch. Other companies provide physical items so that they can be used as prizes. These companies know that what you do is important and are happy to support education. Please feel free to browse the companies that are providing for your edcamp experience in some way and to support THEM if you find their products and services to be worthwhile to you. We are so grateful for their support! |
