What is an edcamp? An edcamp is an "unconference" for those in the education business that is dynamic and uncomplicated.
The schedule of an edcamp isn't determined until the morning of the event where anyone can sign up to moderate a session. A moderator may have an interest in learning something new and wants to see if anyone else has something helpful to share or maybe has the same questions as you that you can develop solutions for together. A moderator may be experienced in something and want to share with others some of the successful ventures they have had in the classroom. But one of the best "rules" about edcamp is the rule of two feet. If you don't like the session you are sitting in on, get back on your feet and walk to another session that might suit you better. NO ONE will be insulted! |
